The first day of spring blossomed into something extraordinary this year as the Courtney Jordan Foundation (CJF) hosted its inaugural Spring Forward Gala — an unforgettable evening filled with elegance, purpose, and global unity.

Held at a historic manor just outside London, the gala was a true celebration of the impact and reach of CJF's global initiatives. As COO and Executive Director of the Foundation, I had the honour of sharing this moment with inspiring changemakers, local leaders, partners, and dear friends who’ve walked alongside us in our mission.

The night sparkled with sophistication — candlelit tables, world-class cuisine, and a string quartet underscored by heartfelt speeches and moving stories from our partners in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines. We toasted not only to our achievements but also to the journey ahead.

Global Roots, Local Reach

The Courtney Jordan Foundation continues to champion global impact through education, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability. From 12,000+ microgrants delivered across Sri Lanka’s provinces to renewable energy projects in the Philippines powering over 100,000 households, our mission is rooted in empowering people to build futures that last.

In Bangladesh, CJF’s programmes in youth development, enterprise creation, and education have lit up communities with hope and opportunity. We believe in building capacity, not dependency — and it’s a belief that echoed in every word shared on stage that night.

Moments That Mattered

What made this night truly special wasn’t just the fundraising or the fine wine — it was the feeling in the room. Hopeful. Driven. United. It was seeing a child from Cox’s Bazar light up on the screen, now in school because of a CJF scholarship. It was hearing from a young woman in Colombo who launched a sustainable soap business with our microloan support.

As I mingled with attendees — entrepreneurs, artists, policymakers, and friends — I was reminded why we do what we do. Because helping one really can save many. Because transformation starts with belief, with opportunity, and with the courage to show up.

Springing Forward Together

The gala raised over £2.5 million, funding a new wave of CJF initiatives launching later this year. These include digital skills training for youth in Manila, clean water access in northern Bangladesh, and new climate resilience hubs in Sri Lanka.

To everyone who joined us — thank you. Your presence is a promise to keep moving forward, together. Here's to more nights like this, and even brighter mornings.

With love and gratitude,
